JOE celebrates National Joe Day with announcement of summer service

JOE is celebrating National Joe Day (March 27th) by announcing the launch of summer service June 6th.  JOE has had a successful season and will operate through March 30th.  A hotel route is being added that will pick up hotel guests from five hotels and feed into the main JOE line, with plans to start for the summer service in June.  All of the data will be collected and used to perfect year round service that will start in December for the 2013-2014 season.  Thank you for supporting JOE and making the first part of our pilot program so successful!  Let’s do it again in June!

Spread the Word

Season is here and JOE is busy making sure our visitors know about our service.

We are adding exterior signs showing JOE is a free shuttle. We have added signage to the stops at Fifth Ave and 6th Street. Team JOE has been hitting the streets and talking to merchants and passing out schedules. JOE vehicles have the newest issue of Entree Magazine on board for passengers to take with them, compliments of Jump On Express.

JOE is working with Resident Club Card (RCC) to make sure you know about all of the ways you can live well for less in Naples, and to make sure RCC holders know about JOE, as all card holders are residents, and JOE wants to service Naples all year so that locals can take full advantage of the town off season.

JOE is also getting the word out through Naples Daily News who is our media partner. We are negotiating with Renda Broadcasting to have them be JOE‘s radio sponsor so JOE and BOB can be friends.

Our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, Google+, blog, eblasts, text programs, QR codes, mobile web site and web site are all building and helping promote JOE and JOE‘s friends. JOE has been in Naples Daily News, Florida Weekly, Naples Illustrated, The News Press and national blog The Daily Meal. Keep spreading the word!

JOE is Back on 5Th Ave and 3rd Street

Team JOE is so excited!!!
Naples City Council has approved 5th Avenue and 3rd Street stops.
The vote was unanimous.
The Jump On Express launched December 6th, 2012 with stops at Mercato, 5th Avenue and 3rd Street South; but just two weeks into service, City Council temporarily suspended the 5th Avenue and 3rd Street stops.
“Naples City Council was not against JOE, council members simply wanted to assign permanent stops would best meet the needs of JOE passengers and merchants, without disturbing the flow of traffic in the downtown area.” says JOE spokesperson Nicole Angelo.

The Jump On Express is complimentary transportation connecting residents and visitors to the high end districts and night life of Naples. The approved stops are Mercato (across from Bravo),
6Th Street and 5Th avenue, (next to the 5th Ave. Coffee Company) and 3rd Street (in front of Handsome Harry’s).
JOE operates Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with service beginning at 5pm and ending at 1am. Pick-ups are approximately every half hour.

Shannon Livingston- President – says “I am pleased to have JOE back on 5th Avenue. I want to thank our supporters for their patience and thank Naples City Council for allowing us to provide this service.”

Jump on Express is fixed route transportation. The service is privately owned. Each JOE vehicle is air conditioned & has leather seats. JOE is family friendly.

Meet JOEY!

Meet JOEY!
By now you have probably heard that the stops for the Jump On Express have been modified.
The Mercato stop has not changed but as for downtown,
JOE will be using private stops on Fifth Ave and Third St.  -The Fifth Ave stop is the Marino valet lot at 3rd Ave and 8th St around the corner from Inn on Fifth. Third St stop is Jane’s on Third around the corner from the trolley stop in front of Handsome Harry’s.
As a result, we have expanded our family. Meet Joey, the deluxe golf cart that will take JOE passengers from the 8th Street stop to 5th Ave. We understand that stopping on 8th Street is inconvenient and the JOE team is working diligently with City officials to get JOE back on 5th Ave.
Look for JOEY in January.
As a JOE passenger, please keep a few guidelines in mind.
JOE is handicap accessible with wheelchair lifts.
JOE is family friendly. Please refrain from profanity and/or loud inappropriate conversation. No wet clothes or wet dogs allowed.
All carry out food should be in a bag. All beverages must have a covered lid.
As always, the JOE team will keep you informed of any and all changes; via text, Facebook, blog, and newsletter.

Jump on Express is fixed route transportation. The service is privately owned. Each JOE vehicle is air conditioned & has leather seats. JOE is family friendly.
